The January Jump-Start Program is open to students from all Western Australian schools and will be held on the Hale School campus.
The program aims to:
- Teach, revise and reinforce sound Study Skills before the commencement of the new academic year.
- Revise the important components from the 2026 syllabus that are relevant to the new syllabus.
- Offer students a preview of what they can expect in their new courses in 2027.
Program Includes:
Study Skills: These tutorials contain six hours of teaching broken up into two hours a day for three days. They focus on units such as goal setting, learning strategies, note taking and time management.
Essay Writing: The essay writing tutorials consist of six hours of teaching broken up into two hours a day for three days. They re-teach the structure of a critical essay, reinforce the importance of constructing a sound thesis and topic sentences, and revise how to include evidence to justify these claims.
Subject Revision: These classes consist of six hours of teaching broken up into two hours a day for three days. The program consists of re-teaching and revision of the important components of the syllabus that are relevant to the 2027 curriculum.
Tuition Fees
$210 for each class (All classes are 6 hours of tuition)
