Teachers in the April Exam Prep Program at Hale School

Amy Bennett - Maths Applications Year 12

Amy is an experienced Maths Applications teacher and WACE marker. Her preparation is excellent, and she is skilled at clearly communicating what students need to know and do to maximise their results in exams. She recently delivered classes in Applications in the exam prep program on the Hale School campus in October 2025 and received a student rating of 96%.

Sheila Greenaway - Maths Methods Year 11 and 12

Sheila is an experienced mathematics consultant who taught for many years at Rossmoyne SHS, and has delivered a number of after school programs for MMA. She received a student evaluation score of 93% for her teaching of Maths Methods Year 12 in the Hale 2025 October program.

Chris De Haer - Maths Specialist Year 11 and 12

Chris has extensive experience delivering exam preparation programs. He has worked both as a teacher and head of learning at St Mary’s AGS. He has been a WACE/ATAR marker for a number of years and has been a member of the Maths Applications examination panel. Chris recently delivered Maths Specialist courses at Christ Church Grammar School in January 2026, receiving an average student approval rating of 97%.

Sean Nicoli - Maths Applications Year 11, Math Year 9 and OLNA Numeracy

Sean is an experienced mathematics educator who is a valued part of the MMA’s Master Class program at Christ Church Grammar School. His teaching in middle school Maths program at Hale in July 2025 resulted in an average student evaluation score of 96%.

Carl Owen - Essay Writing, English Year 11 and 12

Carl is an experienced and talented English teacher currently working at Melville SHS. He has taught exam preparation programs at Christ Church Grammar School, Hale School, and Mindarie Senior College for a number of years and regularly receives student evaluations above 90%. He received an average student evaluation score of 95% most recently while teaching in the January 2026 program at Christ Church Grammar School.

Craig Doyle - Study Skills, Literature Year 11 and 12

Craig teaches at St Hilda’s and has delivered superior exam prep classes with MMA for a number of years. He has presented classes in essay writing, English, and ATAR English and Literature and student reviews consider him an excellent presenter. Most recently he taught Literature classes in the January 2026 course at Christ Church Grammar School and received a student approval rating of 99%.

Tahnee Smith – OLNA Reading and Writing

Tahnee is an experienced and enthusiastic tutor focussed on assisting students with OLNA content, and has been a marker for OLNA. She has also conducted previous OLNA courses for Master Mind Australia at Guildford Grammar school, where she regularly received student approval ratings above 90%.

Maree Sayers – Middle School English

Maree is head of department at John Curtin College of the Arts, and is a highly experienced English teacher, with a comprehensive knowledge of the high school English Curriculum. She delivered English classes in the January 2026 Hale holiday exam prep program and received a student evaluation score of 100%.

Brodie Reid – Chemistry Year 12

Brodie is an experienced classroom teacher who has an excellent knowledge of the Chemistry curriculum. He is currently employed at Christ Church Grammar School. He most recently delivered Chemistry classes as part of the September 2025 program at Hale School and received a student approval rating of 99%.

Oli Eyles – Physics Year 11 and 12

Oli taught at Penhros College and is an experienced and enthusiastic Physics teacher with extensive marking experience. He has also presented the Physics Master Classes at Christ Church Grammar School for many years He has successfully delivered exam prep programs at both CCGS and Hale School and has consistently received excellent evaluations in the courses he delivers. His most recent evaluation score for Physics at Hale School in July 2025 was 94%.

Sharyn Bana – Human Biology Year 12

Sharyn is an experienced Human Biology teacher at Christ Church Grammar School and is currently the head of department. She has successfully delivered a number of programs for MMA both at CCGS and Hale School. She delivered the Human Biology classes in the 2025 July Mt Lawley program and received an approval rating of 91%.

Seema Gookooluk - Chemistry Year 11

Seema is an experienced teacher at Presbyterian Ladies’ College. She has extensive experience in classroom and tutoring settings, and has taught the majority of our Term 2 and 3 Master Classes at Christ Church Grammar School in 2025. She also received a student evaluation score of 100% for her Year 11 Chemistry presentation in the January 2026 holiday program at Hale School.

Lloyd Haskett - Economics Year 12

Lloyd teaches at Christ Church Grammar School where he is the acting head of department. In 2022 his students secured one exhibition and several certificates of distinction in the November ATAR exams. He regularly delivers after school and holiday exam prep programs and in January 2026 at Christ Church Grammar School he received a student approval rating of 99%.
